par literatura is an educational platform developed by SOMOS Educação that connects children and youth to the universe of reading in a simple and practical way. Reading is an important part of the educational process and contribute to students’ learning and personal development.
The titles are part of the collection of publishing lines of SOMOS, namely: Ática, Atual, Caramelo, Scipione, Formato and Saraiva. The publications of all these editorial lines correspond to over 1,600 works of various literary genres (poetry, tales, novels, current events, plays, etc.), including books written by renowned Brazilian and foreign authors.
With par literatura, you can find suggested books for all school ages that combine high-quality authors from Brazil and abroad. The solution also offers access to the educational consultancy from A Taba – Leitura em Rede and to the digital content of Árvore de Livros.
The works are divided into six school grade brackets: Preschool to 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grades, 4th and 5th grades, 6th and 7th grades, 8th and 9th grades and High School, organized into three bookshelves:
Vasto Mundo Bookshelf
The school selects four books from a series of 83 titles from a wide diversity of literary genres. The institution also receives at no charge a 40-hour distance-learning course on reading practices developed by A Taba.
Todos Juntos Bookshelf
The school selects four books from a universe of 75 titles. This bookshelf alsoincludes:
Teacher’s guide: plans for exploring books in the classroom that were developed by educational professionals and researchers in the humanities and languages areas.
Materials developed by A Taba: 40-hour distance-learning course on reading practices in school; two annual videoconferences with fiction writers and specialists in children’s literature.
Para Gostar De Ler Bookshelf
Formed by titles that are part of a collection of nearly 300 works selected by A Taba. In addition to all the advantages of Todos Juntos, the Para Gostar de Ler bookshelf also offers educational sequences (series of activities focusing on certain literary fronts, exploring various works over a series of 10 classes) to explore books from the collection and access to newspapers and journals (Brazilian and international) from Árvore de Livros, the largest digital reading platform in Brazil.
Reading enables students to develop a dialogue between reality and fantasy in which they come into contact with characters and their experiences guided by human emotions. Therefore, through stories, they can weave their socioemotional development to further their holistic development.
