Líder em mim

The Líder em Mim (LEM from the Portuguese acronym for Leader in Me) is a program that seeks to develop students’ social and emotional learning skills. The goal is to support both the school and the students to create a context propitious to the application of these competencies.  

LEM offers the schools a solution for providing a comprehensive education to students that develops their potential. As a result, students adopt a proactive role not only in the teaching-learning process, but in all aspects of their lives. The program works to foster students’ participation, responsibility and autonomy, preparing them holistically.  

The program was developed in the United States based on doctoral studies of Stephen R. Covey, the author of the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”  The concepts worked by the book were adapted to the educational reality in Brazil.
